Progress Report
Construction of the new basketball stadium extenstion is progressing well, with the project on track for completion in early 2023.
Recent weather conditions have slowed down the construction activity, while external cladding has commenced. Roof sheeting and skylight are installed with solar panels scheduled for later this month.
Unrestricted parking
As the development continues for the New Courts at Southern Basketball Centre, the carpark is slowly opening back up to the public.
The following dates the section (marked above) of the carpark will be unavailable:
- 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 November and 1 & 2 December.
Pedestrian access to all facility entrances will be maintained. Traffic controllers and warning signage will be in place to ensure safe movement for Centre patrons and construction vehicles.
