Point Guard, Ben Ayre delivered a stunning performance last weekend in the Sandringham Sabres double header!
The bus trip to Mt Gambier did not faze the sharpshooter. Ben delivered a 39-point game to assist the Sabres in a 11-point win against the Pioneers, shooting 11/23 from the field, 3/10 from downtown and 14/16 from the free-throw line.
The weekend didn’t stop there, as the COS Interior NBL1 Sabres backed it up with a game at the Sabre-Dome against Northwest Tasmania on Sunday. Ben Ayre made sure to bring the fire again and finished the game with a lazy 27 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal aiding the Sabres to a convincing victory defeating the NWT Thunder by 32 points.
The Sabres men will look to continue their winning streak as they take on Diamond Valley Eagles on Saturday.
