The Southern Basketball Association (SBA) are pleased to announce the Sandringham Sabres Women’s Leadership group for the 2023 NBL1 South season.
Brittany Smart, Funda Nakkasoglu and Georgia Pineau will be relied on for their on-court and off-court leadership and guidance of the team for 2023. Both Nakkasoglu and Pineau have re-signed for the 2023 season, while the veteran Smart has re-committed for the next two seasons. All three have a vast collective playing experience both overseas and in Australia and they want nothing more than to contribute to the success of Sandringham. The re-signing of this key trio shows the positive direction the team is heading in for 2023. It is also a key endorsement of the re-signing of Head Coach Jacqui O’Neill.
