Basketball Centre Services Extended

As we move towards the final stages of works to expand the basketball stadium at Sandringham Family Leisure Centre, we’re undertaking important electrical and sewer works.

The works that commenced on Monday 14 August, have experienced delays due to weather conditions and identification of further latent conditions. It is expected that works will be completed by 30 August, pending no further delays.

The area will be fenced for the duration of the works, with no through-traffic access in front of the main entrance. Buses will use a temporary bus stop on Tulip Street adjacent to the pedestrian crossing. A traffic management officer will be onsite to direct traffic and assist pedestrians.

The recently opened back carpark is now available for centre users. All onsite parking can be accessed via the carpark entrance driveway at the west end of the carpark. Unrestricted all-day parking is also available near the Centre on Tulip Street, Reserve Road, and Park Road.

We encourage you to share this information with your customers to help them plan their visits to the Centre.

We will reopen the front carpark as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued patience as we deliver this significant project to meet the current and future needs of Bayside basketballers.
