For the NBL1 South 2024 season, the Sandringham Sabres welcome Japanese import Kadysha “Juna” Umezawa.
Juna is a 6’3″ centre with a wealth of local and international basketball expertise. Coming off a NBL1 South season with the Keilor Thunder, Juna will be looking to bring an inside presence and provide a formidable frontcourt alongside Klara Wischer and Emma Nankervis.
Umezawa is currently playing in the Women’s Japanese Basketball League (WJBL) for the Toyota Antelopes and will join the team as soon as their season concludes.
