The SBA would like to officially announce the recent appointment of our NBL1 South Sandringham Sabres Women’s Assistant Coaches, Samantha Groves and Zoe Fagan.
The duo come to the Sabres with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the basketball industry and are excited to be supporting Head Coach Kerryn Mitchell.
You may have seen the SEABL Championship player, Zoe Fagan around the Sabre-Dome on a Friday night, as she is the currently assisting head coach, Cal Taylor with the U18.1 Sabres Girls team. Zoe was previously appointed assistant coach of the Youth League Women’s Championship team with the Frankston Blues and has coached numerous VC and VJL teams.
Samantha Groves also comes with an impressive coaching record and not a stranger to the Sandringham Sabres. Sam was the SEABL assistant coach to your Sandringham Sabres for 2 seasons before progressing onto becoming Kerryn’s right head lady with the Frankston Blues. Sam has has also been involved with the Victoria Under 20 Women’s program, helping them bring home a Gold medal in the 2022.
