In a first for the SBA, six Sandringham Sabres teams have qualified for the National Junior Classic tournament to be held across the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in June. The tournament is invitational only, showcasing the best junior basketball teams from around Australia.
Our Sabres teams have qualified via top four finishes in their respective pools for the first half of the Victorian Championship season.
This is a great achievement for the club, especially coming out of two interrupted seasons due to the pandemic. It highlights the strength of junior basketball in Bayside.

Under 18.1 Boys Under 18.1 Girls
The tournament will be held at the State Basketball Centre (Under 18s) and Dandenong Basketball Stadium (Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16) across the Queen’s Birthday long weekend from 11-13 June. Games will be streamed live so please continue to check the SBA website for more updates as the tournament gets closer.
