Congratulations to our very own guard Shea Ili on taking home numerous NBL1 South awards last Friday night. Shea was awarded Defensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player. Shea was also named in the Men’s All Star Five alongside Hoabrt Chargers, Harry Froling, Bendigo Braves, Kuany Kuany, Mt Gambiers, Michael Harris and Diamon Valleys, Dejan Vasilejvic.
Shea unfortunately missed the finals campaign, stepping away from the club to play with the New Zealand Tall Blacks, but that did not stop him from dominating the season, leading the team to 15 wins in his 16 appearances across the season putting up averages of 23 points (3rd in the conference), 5.7 assists (2nd) and 1.9 steals (8th) per game.
Congratulations Shea on an incredible season!
